**UPDATED on July 27th!!** BES Welcomes New Teachers
BES and Mrs. Tinch would like to welcome the following teachers to our school:

Haley Davis
Hello Panthers! My name is Haley Davis. I am from Humphreys County, Tennessee, which is the current home place of Loretta Lynn! I went to Tennessee Tech University where I got my Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. This is my first year teaching and I will be teaching Kindergarten! In my spare time, I love to be around friends and family. I love anything crafty, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my boyfriend, Pacey. A fun fact about me is that I have been to 5 different countries! I’m very excited to be a Panther and work with all the awesome kiddos! 🤩

Kerri Roberts
Hello!  My name is Kerrie Roberts and I am a first grade teacher.  I am a graduate of Tennessee Tech and have been teaching first grade for six years. I have two daughters, Kelsey 25 and Kassidy 18, and a 2 and 1/2 year old granddaughter, London, who is the joy of my life.   I love summer and spending time with family and friends, going to the lake, vacations at the beach, and the occasional camping trips.

Teresa Wells
My name is Teresa Wells and I am originally from Florida; my family and I have lived in Tennessee since September 2007. I am excited about being the new librarian at Burks Elementary. I have my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction - Library Science from Tennessee Tech University. I have been working in Putnam County Schools since Fall 2013 as a substitute teacher and as the library assistant at Burks since January 2021. I previously worked as a substitute teacher and at a private preschool where we lived in South Florida. I absolutely loved reading to the kids. I have many ideas and activities I plan to do with the students in the library to encourage a love of reading.

I enjoy caring for my pets (7 cats, 3 dogs, 1 miniature horse and a 20 gallon aquarium of fish), reading, watching movies (I have many favorites) and TV Shows, listening to music; arts and crafts - scrap booking, drawing, and coloring.

I am so excited about the upcoming school year!!

Raegan Sparks
Hi!! I’m Raegan Sparks, I am from Indianapolis, Indiana where I was born and raised. I grew up playing softball and eventually earned a scholarship to Tennessee Tech. In my undergrad I studied Exercise Science with a concentration in Pre- Occupational Therapy. I graduated in 2020 and decided to go back to school and earn my masters in curriculum and instruction concentrating in Special Education. I recently worked as a teacher assistant in special education at Prescott South Middle School. Now, I will be teaching the new CDC class at Burks and I am super excited! A few of my favorite hobbies are softball, spending time with family, playing with my dogs, and being outside. In my free time I give softball lessons and coach. I have two new titles; head coach of the Middle School softball team in Monterey. The second title, my personal favorite will be wife. I am super excited to take on this new journey and especially excited to be at Burks Elementary.
