Principal's Message

Welcome to Panther Country!  The administration, faculty, and staff want to welcome everyone to Burks Middle School.  We are extremely excited to carry on traditions, academic excellence, and reach further into new endeavors to better our school, community, and family.  Our BMS family is committed to enrich all of our student’s lives academically, socially, and emotionally during their four - year stay.  Our goal is for your child to leave BMS with the best education and be prepared to the best of our ability to be successful at MHS and later in their life. Our expectation of our students is for them to be the best students they can be with high goals for their futures. 

Burks Middle School is a family friendly, safe environment committed the children of Monterey and Putnam County.  Thank you, for your continued support in helping us to be one of the finest middle schools in the state of Tennessee.
